    Laicough, welcome to Yantai.
    i don’t know if you have written in the forum or read WolfWhistle.. there you could get answers to your questions, maybe even get to know some local people personally.. many French, German and Russian here in Yantai.
    you learning to speak Chinese? of course that will help you more quickly adjust to life here
